For this Redmond primary bath remodel, the client sought a full redesign rooted in Japanese-inspired design principles and a spa-like atmosphere. The home already had strong mid-century modern bones, including a warm wood ceiling that we chose to preserve and design around. Our goal was to blend natural materials, clean lines, and a calming palette to create a peaceful, refined retreat.
A freestanding soaking tub anchors the space, while handcrafted green ceramic tile — installed in a vertical straight-set pattern — adds subtle texture and a sense of quiet elegance. A custom teak shower pan was added as a thoughtful detail, complementing the tile and reinforcing the natural, serene feel of the room. Clean black fixtures and minimalist cabinetry tie the space together in a modern, intentional way.
