West Market home remodel

This West of Market Kirkland remodel focused on transforming the main floor into a light-filled, modern living space with enhanced function and flow. The homeowners wanted an open-concept layout that better connected the kitchen and living areas, while also transitioning away from natural gas. We removed a load-bearing wall and completed structural framing to open up the space, reconfigured the kitchen layout, and added new power to accommodate an induction cooktop. We also reimagined the hall bathroom—previously a powder room—by utilizing unused space to add a full shower, creating a true primary bath for the main floor guest suite.

Design highlights include sleek slab-style frameless cabinetry, durable porcelain countertops, a textured Makaro ceramic tile backsplash, and warm oak hardwood flooring throughout. We added layered lighting with can lights, under-cabinet illumination, and a new dining room fixture to elevate the atmosphere. A fresh interior paint job and custom wood base trim completed the cohesive, high-end finish.

Total Investment: $250,000
